Archival containers for film tapes

Archival containers (boxes) for film material are made of chemically inert copolymer polypropylene called Moplen, which is currently the highest quality material for making such containers. The containers do not bend and are easy to assemble. There are two air flow openings on the tanks, size 8 mm for 35 millimeter films and 6 mm for 16 millimeter films. The tanks are PAT tested and also comply with SMPTE and other ANSI standards.
Proper ventilation of the tank reduces the possibility of deterioration of your filmstrip known as vinegar syndrome. Filmstrip storage boxes have parallel side vents to improve airflow through the box. The protrusions on the underside of the box direct the flow of air under and around the film strip and at the same time provide support and thus prevent deformation of the edge of the film. The empty space above the film strip also favors better air flow.
