Mold detection

Mold is a danger not only for materials of organic origin (paper, leather, parchment…), but also for human health, especially for the upper respiratory tract. Since microclimate conditions play a decisive role in the development of mold, it is necessary to regularly monitor the relative humidity of the air using a thermohygrometer and ensure that it does not exceed 65%.

The presence of yeasts and molds can be reliably determined using the Millipore® mold detection test. In just a few days, it can be established whether there are colonies of yeast or mold on books, files, walls or other suspicious places. The test serves to prove microbiological cultures, but it cannot determine the exact type of yeast or mold.
