A thin, fine, self-adhesive paper tape made from long fibers. It is coated with an archival quality acrylic adhesive that is permanent and will not yellow over time, and is activated by pressure. This tape is ideal for mounting transparent works such as Japanese papers, papyrus and similar lightweight artworks as it will not be visible after installation even on such thin substrates. The tape is removed with mineral spirits.

Archival tapes for mounting medium-heavy artworks

This water-activated tape is extremely tear-resistant and suitable for mounting all but the heaviest artwork. It is made from acid-free buffered paper (pH 8.5). The pH-neutral adhesive has high strength and prevents the artwork from shifting or “slipping”.

Japanese Hayaku art mounting tape is made by combining long, sturdy fibers of Japanese mulberry paper with an acid-free adhesive that is activated and removed with water.

Archival strips for mounting Digital Fine Art prints

Abaca Mounting Tape combines the strength and flexibility of Abaca paper with an extremely strong acrylic adhesive that is resistant to aging and will not yellow over time. Digital fine art printed on inkjet printers is sensitive to water and it is not safe to use water-activated tapes when mounting them. In such cases, self-adhesive archival tape is a much safer alternative. Abaca Mounting Tape is strong enough to support large format prints, yet flexible enough to be attached to such prints without deforming. Abaca paper is pH neutral and biodegradable.
